Night Shift

Some people say
Look upon others
In shallow judgement
Believe they are wiser
Than true

In evening
To be solitary
Like the moon
On an elegant night
The sky a canvas
That never argues
Politics or

I light
A cigarette
And create
The clouds
In silence

Where words
Fill the void
The empty
Spaces in-between

The known
And my
