A Blue Moon Shines For You

There is heartache
and cognac for your
heartache. A blue moon
shines on you.

Keep your heart still.
The light is vast. It
is a solution
for your heartache if
the light is vast enough.

A weak heart stands no
chance. If you didn’t
know it, you will soon.

Behind the blue moon
there is a star.
It never shines.
It is dead and hides
behind the moon.

It never shines.
It eyes the moon.
It has a broken heart.
The star is black.
The star is dead.

It desires what
the blue moon has.
It is after what
the blue moon could provide.

It wants life.
It wants to live.
It wants to be born again.
