in the brotherhood of myth

… after death penetrates the bones
the mouth does not remember
the taste of birth
it cannot move its tongue
over its lips

feeling for scraps of breath …

… never shedding light, the moon’s
dark side cannot see
its purpose
it does not know
the space around its darkness

is stockpiled with suffering …

… mythology curves the mind
it’s electric enough to cause
a one-sided perception,
it can crack
the inside of the heart

until one goes foolishly deaf …
