How Dare You Object: A Women’s Warrior Poem Invoked by Freya

How dare you object, Crazy woman
To the poor treatment I have decided
To cast you

How dare you object, Reckless woman
To the poor label upon which I decided
To cast you

How dare you object, Lazy Woman
To the impossible to-do list, with which I decided
To task you

How dare you object, Witch Woman
With a protection spell the need for which I made
To cast for yourself

How dare you object, Loud Woman
To the muzzle which I have decided
To place upon you

And how dare you object, Spoiled Woman
To the slavery which I have decided
To cast you

And how dare you cast upon me
Spells of protection
And your needs and your rights
Don’t you know
That only Men are allowed to ask for things
Women must sit silently
And patiently
And wait
For their needs
To maybe be met
If someday her Prince does come
And only if she’s the type of woman so petite
And so un-demanding of her agency
Will she be allowed to walk under
My umbrella of autonomy
I will ridicule her astrology
And her spirituality
And manly explain that this
Is just
And that this
Is just
The Way
It Is
