C.M.P. Featured Writers, Sept 2021

September, the month of my birth. In a strange way, I simultaneously feel a revival of energy and my aging bones getting more painful around this time of year. Happy to be alive, but sad in a way as well because I’m one year closer to the inevitable. The weather is also cooler and we’re one month closer to Halloween, but that also means some of us will be battling snow soon. I love snow, it’s not something I experienced a lot growing up down south, but not too much snow. Over the years I’ve become kind of “eh” about it. Gotta take the bad with the good I guess. This is still my favorite time of the year.

Below are this month’s featured writers. If you’d like to submit some writing, send 1-3 poems to cajunmuttpress@gmail.com along with a bio and author photo. Currently filling spots for December.

Manuscript submissions are still CLOSED, but keep your eyes peeled for our next book release by Will Mayo that will be announced later this month. I also have a book lined up for Ron Whitehead in October and one for Tim Heerdink in December so I have some killer reading material in store for y’all!

PS. I decided not to do the Halloween Zine, only got a handful of submissions; probably should’ve announced the idea sooner.
