Happy Halloween!! October is upon us; my favorite time of the year. I’m glad we’re finally there but surprised at how fast we arrived. Funny how time is relative that way. I’m sure the year seems to be dragging along slowly for some of y’all. Either way, fast or slow, time is time and it’s time for the monthly rundown.

Below you’ll find the October featured writers. To submit some work for a featured writer spot, send 1-3 poems to cajunmuttpress@gmail.com with a bio and author photo. I have two spots left to fill in November, then I’ll be reading for December. Featured writer submissions are always OPEN.

Submissions for the Cajun Mutt Press Halloween Anthology Zine #1 are officially CLOSED. Infinite thanks to all who sent work. I’m aiming for a mid-Oct release. Keep your eyes peeled for The Mourning Hour by Frogg Corpse as well!!! Set for release on October 30th. More details about both coming soon.

August 2022 C.M.P. Featured Writers

It’s August, and I have another kick-ass lineup of featured writers for y’all! Keep your eyes peeled for 𝘓𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘧-𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘺𝘮𝘯𝘴 by Aleathia Drehmer as well. It’ll be released later this month on the 16th. Then 𝘓𝘌𝘗𝘌𝘙 𝘔𝘖𝘚𝘏 by David Alec Knight will be published in September, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘳 by Frogg Corpse in October, and 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴 by Dusty Jaggers in November. I’m also working on a few other manuscripts at the moment. Whichever one I finish first will be scheduled for December, and the others will carry over into 2023. It’s been a busy year for Cajun Mutt Press. Plus, I’ve been getting some killer submissions for the Halloween zine!

Manuscript submissions are closed until next year, but featured writer submissions are always open! Send 1-3 poems to cajunmuttpress@gmail.com along with a bio and author photo. I have a few spots left in October to fill, then I’ll be reading for November. If you’d like to submit for the Halloween zine, send 1-3 poems or 1-3 pieces of art with a bio to the same email address. Put Halloween Zine as the subject. The deadline is September 30th.
