With Blinders On

Perpetual hung’r
for touch blinds us to each other,
fatally flawed.

Muse’s Compact

Poets write,
bleeding black ink
upon white pages.

Man in Your Mirrors

Words slash your jug’lar,
draining love from pleading eyes.
I see my monster.

Poetry Slam

Like sterling icepicks,
words pierce dusty eardrums with
ars poetica.

Last Dance

Deaf’ning silence,
a tumult of resting heartbeats,
becomes our swan song.

Writer’s Block

Cruelty of white paper—
relentless torment.
Plague of poets’ souls.
